ABOUT ME
I am Marvin Schaber, a professional drummer based in Stuttgart, Germany.
My musical journey has led me to perform regularly and internationally with two fantastic bands: NEEVE, known for their Indie Pop/Rock sound, and PALE HEART, an Indie Rock group. In addition to playing drums in these bands, I also contribute by writing and producing music.
Beyond my main projects, I thrive as a freelancer, both on stage and in the studio. I collaborate with a diverse range of artists, spanning genres from Pop and Indie to Soul and Rock. I’ve had the honor of playing with artists like LISL (DE), Giovanni Costello (IT), Cassandra Steen, Natalie Dorra (Udo Lindenberg), David Whitely, Max Mutzke as sharing the stage with artists such as Revolverheld (DE), Nile Rodgers (USA), The Driver Era (USA), The Snuts (UK), Yasi Hofer, Ten Years After, Aynsley Lister, Joanne Shaw Taylor & Al Jones.
I’m offering (remote) recording sessions, at my studio in Stuttgart. I handle drums, percussion, and programming with a song-centered approach. Each track is unique, and I take great care in tailoring my equipment, tuning, microphone setup, and production choices to match the character of the music.
Sharing knowledge is another passion of mine, and I love to give private lessons at my own music school, GROOVE WERK, located in Stuttgart. It’s incredibly rewarding to help aspiring musicians develop their skills and find their own musical voice.
I’ve had the privilege of learning from exceptional mentors like Dave Elitch and Thomas Lui Ludwig, who played a pivotal role in honing my drumming skills. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural- and Media Education, with a strong focus on music, which I earned from the University of Education (Pädagogische Hochschule) Ludwigsburg to further support my musical journey.
In a world of rhythms and melodies, I find my purpose, and I’m always excited to embark on new musical adventures and share the magic of music with others.
